Tolo Bio First Friends figures have a squeaky stomach and a wiggling head, arms and legs that can be moved into multiple positions.

Practices sound recognition, colors, feeling and touching, hand-eye coordination, and imagination.

12+ months:
Introduce your baby to the First Friends figures! Let your child explore the toy and find out which parts move and make sounds – help if needed and show them all the moving, clicking parts.
If the figure has a profession, explain what the figure does, e.g. ″He’s a diver, he goes underwater to look for fish or find sunken treasure!″, ″He’s a pilot – he flies planes so people can go to other places.″
Encourage your child to handle and move the figure into different positions and imitate the sounds you might hear when the figures do their jobs, e.g. the sound of the engine when a racing driver speeds away in his car.
Ask your child simple questions and praise your child for any attempts to participate in making sounds and moving the parts. Encourage your child to talk about their new friend.
18+ months:
Talk about the figures by mentioning their different features, such as their clothes and their colors. Talk to your child about the character’s job – e.g. what kinds of things might a diver see underwater?
Introduce vocabulary such as ″sits″, ″runs″, ″drives″ etc. depending on what the character is doing. Ask your child questions about the character and encourage your child to ask questions back!
If the opportunity arises, show your child a real-life version of their First Friend character and discuss the similarities between the two.
Encourage your child to have lots of imaginative play with the characters and help make up situations if necessary, but let your child take the lead with their ideas as much as possible.
