The solid wood handmade shape puzzle offers a child a lot of joy in playing while simultaneously developing their fine motor skills and concentration.

This is a Montessori tool. The Montessori method is based on the natural development and curiosity of the child. All activities are child-centric, with the aim of supporting and developing independence. Child-centric activities do not mean that the child can do whatever they want, but rather that the environment meets their developmental needs and within this framework, they have the freedom to act independently.

The Estonian Montessori Association recommends: This tool consists of three circles with buttons, all the same color but varying in size. This design aids in developing the child’s visual perception as they learn to visually assess and sequence the circles by size. Working with buttoned puzzle shapes helps in the development of proper pencil grip and strengthens hand muscles, as well as enhancing concentration skills.

  • Suitable for children aged from 14 months onwards.
  • Product dimensions: width 30 cm x depth 15 cm x height 3.5 cm
  • In the manufacturing of these toys, paints and glues are used that are safe for young children to put in their mouths (non-toxic and saliva-resistant). The dry final product complies with the European certificate DIN 53160 (sweat and saliva-resistant) and the EURO-NORM EN 71 (suitable for children’s toys), ensuring safety for people, plants, and animals.
  • The products are made from pine wood, one of the most common trees in Estonian forests. Karloova chooses pine because it is naturally softer and does not splinter.
