Let’s Talk About the "Shipping Problem" (And How We’re Fixing It) 🌍📦

If you’re anything like us, you love the feeling of a package arriving at your door, but you don't love the thought of the carbon footprint it leaves behind.

It’s the great contradiction of online shopping: we all want to support ethical, vegan businesses, but getting those products to your house still requires trucks, planes, and fuel. It was a challenge at the front of our minds when we were building That Green Store.

We didn't want to just ignore it. That’s why, from the very first day we opened our doors, we made a commitment: every single order you place with us is 100% carbon-neutral.

Supporting nature, plus a little extra help from science

We all know how vital our forests and oceans are—they are the planet's natural lungs. But to really tackle the climate challenges we face today, we believe in using every tool available.

While the trees 🌳 (which we love deeply) work their magic over time, we’ve also committed to funding Direct Carbon Removal. These technologies are pulling CO2 out of the atmosphere right now, providing an immediate boost to the work nature is already doing. When you shop with us, you’re helping fund:

  • Direct Air Capture (DAC): Think of these as high-tech "lungs" that scrub carbon directly out of the sky.
  • Enhanced Rock Weathering: This is a fascinating process that speeds up how certain minerals naturally absorb carbon, chemically turning it into rock so it’s locked away forever.
  • Bio-Oil & Mineralization: We support projects that take plant waste, turn it into a stable oil, and pump it deep underground where it "mineralizes"—meaning it stays safely stored for thousands of years.

Why we are paying for this (not you)

You might have seen other stores ask you to pay an extra fee at checkout to "go green."

At That Green Store, we’ve decided to cover 100% of that cost ourselves. For every shipment, the distance and weight are calculated, and we fund the removal of that exact amount of carbon. We don't think you should have to pay a "tax" for doing the right thing. It’s our responsibility as a business to make sure our logistics are as clean as the products we curate.

We’re doing our best to prove that you can run a vegan business that respects the planet from the ground up. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about making sure that when your package arrives at your door, you can feel good about the whole journey it took to get there.
